#ittakesatown

This month, TOWN, celebrates 15 years in business. We are eternally grateful to all of you who have loyally supported our efforts to create a neighborhood “gathering place” that embodies the spirit of connection and community.

Over the years TOWN has been here for your special occasions as well as the spontaneous, bites-to-eat on your way home from work. TOWN has made memories, fostered friendships, and provided welcome respite from the hustle-and-bustle of daily life. With our “local first” mission we have become an interconnected ecosystem of diners, workers, farmers, fishermen, students, families, and neighbors that are all integral to each others’ existence and well-being.

In 15 years of operation, we have not encountered a situation that has the potential to be so devastating to this ecosystem as the COVID 19 pandemic that we are facing today. Over the years we have adopted the term, “It takes a TOWN” and never before has this expression rung so true.

We humbly ask that you please continue supporting our restaurants. We have taken precautions, above and beyond our already compulsory sanitation practices to keep our guests and staff as safe as possible, but we understand that asking you to come to our establishments during this time of uncertainty could be considered irresponsible.

So, while our dining rooms remain open to serve you, we also offer take-out orders at all of our restaurants (TOWN, Mud Hen Water, Kaimuki Superette, and Mahina & Sun’s) and are actively looking into delivery options as well. At Superette, we will soon be offering prepared meals to be enjoyed for dinner at home. Or buy a gift card from our websites and set it aside for a future date-night with your sweetheart. And, whether you dine-in with us or order take-out, please remember to tip your server/delivery driver generously – it will go far to sustain them during these challenging times.

The local, independent restaurant has an irreplaceable presence and purpose in the fabric of island life. Your ongoing patronage will help to protect our precious ecosystem and allow us to continue to provide the community with safe, delicious, sustainable food. Mahalo for supporting local business, we hope to see you for an elbow bump soon.

with aloha always,

The Town Tribe
